It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

I did the deals online via chat and the activation fees were waived for all lines plus the giftcard. I tried to redeem the giftcard but it kept saying not found so I was kind of frustrated so I contacted Verizon and the agent gave me an offer for $200 per line instead. Then I called yesterday for help because I'm having trouble registering an account. It took 3 different agents to find my account and the last agent decided to offer me the fifth line for free. So, 5 lines for $100 plus $800 giftcard.
Now that your account is active, go and try submitting the $300 rebates!

If you call instead of chat, you can get the credit instead of giftcard.
Doesn't show on your acct our bill as a credit. Or just wait and see until 1st month ends?

I actually got $400 credit instead of $300 while talking to rep on the phone. Also was offered 2 months credit for protection plan and a streaming package. All credits take about 8 weeks to show in the account. Can be used for anything Verizon.
During ordering process you sign-off on the paperwork where the credits are called out.

Ah nice than you. I might cancel and return 3 lines then readd with each gift card. Rep said a credit was applied but not seeing in contract

Did they waive the Activation Fees via the phone or do you have to gi through Chat for that?

Only with the lucky ones. I called them about six times after that $5-per-line increase, and not once did they offer me anything except free lines.
Yeah, that TMobile $5 increase per line was a bummer... I'm on the old One Plan which is pretty nice with five original lines + one free line for base price of $185/mo and includes taxes and fees (about $9/line value for S. California), and $7 credit toward NetFlix Standard (we pay extra net $11/mo on top of the $185 base for the Netflix)... There is a $10/line "kickback" credit for two of the lines if they use less than 2GB in the month, which works out perfectly for two of the lines. But if they go over 2GB, that adds another $!0/line... or $205/month total for the six lines. We like the quality of connection, reliability, and Tmobile service.

Rep offered trade in of old Samsung A71 ($150 off if we want to keep our One Plan; She offered much bigger credit if we switched plans, but the other plans were much more per line per month plus add taxes+fees) for iPhone16e for net $450. iPhone 16 for net $580. Iphone 17 (not pro) for net $680. I forgot to ask about 17PRO. No change to monthly rates. $35 activation fee for each new phone.... I could not get her to wave it like others have posted they got. I'll call back to get another rep and see.

UPDATE: Nope... no waive or credit for the $35 activation fee... My account is not offered such waiver or credit. On each repeated inquiry, the various reps said to keep our OnePlan because they cannot match that rate with the features. So, I'm going to just pay for the iPhone 17, net $680 after the $150 tradein for the old Samsung A71.... I'm late to the Apple Ecosystem party... First iPhone for me to join the rest of family with iPhones.

SO tempted to switch to Verizon for the new iPhone 17 Pro deal... but the net cost for the plan was about $$39.29/line per month when you add the taxes. $235.74/month for three years, but not sure about quality of connection, reliability, service as some have posted this basic plan can be slow.... some even said maybe should not be used as the "main lines" ... But no one else wants or needs a new iPhone and they don't want to switch from Tmobile, so missing out on the great phone deal by Verizon.... sigh.

UPDATE: I went to Costco TMobile Kiosk and traded in my Samsung A71 for $150 credit to stay on my grandfathered OnePlan with Tmobile. Got the iPhone 17 (not the PRO) for 830 - 150 = 680. But I get a $100 Costco gift card, so down to $580. Plus the waived the $35 activation fee.

The rep I spoke with even asked if anyone I knew wanted to switch- he was willing to replicate same deal.

UPDATE: GO to COSTCO if you want to simply buy a new iPhone and trade in your current phone. The Costco TMobile Kiosk waived the $35 activation fee AND said I will get a $100 Costco gift card by email!! So I decided to get the iPhone 17 (not the PRO) for 830 - 150 trade in of Samsung A71 5G = $680. Then did not have to pay $35 activation fee and will get $100 Costco gift card!... So about $580 in 24 payments without any interest charged during those 24 payments... I'm happy enough.

To use the 300$ gift card do we just add on account and pay the bill with it before the autopay payment goes through? Does it impact the autopay discount?

Little surprised not seeing much discussion, but 512GB iPhone 16 Pro max is also free with Unlimited Welcome. I would've picked that one instead if I needed more storage.

Anyone else having issues porting number to Verizon on this deal? Trying to port my numbers after receiving devices. One port has been in limbo for over 24hrs and now when I am trying on a second device I am getting - "We are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later."

Was hoping to get my numbers changed over before my Total Wireless plan renews on the 20th.

Hoping to avoid calling since they charge $15 to port if you don't do it yourself.

Yes, but I'm porting from Spectrum which may have something to do with it. Port support told me both numbers I was bringing over would finalize by 12 noon today. That's over 48 hours since I picked the devices up.
