- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.
While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

We have never had billing issues. To the people reporting that they got a "text", that is all you need. The discount(s) apply in one or two billing cycles and should apply eventually.
The only reason we moved is because VZW did NOT have any good offers for existing customers. That welcome plan does NOT have hotspot and neither does it have ultra wide band. We were on that plan for the past 3 years. The second reason is the TMO contract is 24 months.
IF VZW had matched the 17 Pro and 100 a month 4 line offer to us existing customers, I would have even traded in my current phones but noooooo, each one of these cell companies force people to move back and forth so it seems.
We were happy with VZW for years. Till a couple years back, one of the Cell towers was taken out of service near our house. We do not get a good signal at the back of the house and the plan price plus the not that great of an offer for existing customers is what made us finally switch.

Seems the consensus is to try to call back in (vs chat or going in store) but not even sure that will help.
On another topic, anyone have tips on doing Device Protection through VZ ($20/month) vs something like Apple Care? I'm not familiar with either so appreciate the advice.
