This is a excellent deal!! I just bought this impact wrench a few weeks ago and just used it to change out struts on a friend's Honda Accord and it didn't break a sweat. This deal is crazy because they're throwing in the impact sockets to! Must buy for those looking for a high torque impact wrench.🔥

Can anyone with recent experience with RYOBI tell me how long your batteries have lasted and do you just keep them charged up? My first drill was a RYOBI and I was buying new batteries once or twice a year. I threw away the drill after 3rd or 4th battery and it ruined their reputation for me.
This was over 20 years ago and people seem to rave about them now. Has it changed?

I have had this for about 3-4? years now. It has nothing but impressive performance.

Not to be confuse with everything else in this market. This has 1,170 ft./lbs. of breakaway torque. You won't get anything close to this for this price on anything else. Even the last Milwakee deal with the battery for $150 only has 550lb/ft torque.

Only down side is that this thing is BIG. If you are working in tight spots, this might be an issue.

Long time Ryobi user and I have never needed to replace a battery. I have the older brushed 1/2" drive wrench and it gets weekly abuse and still have been good on batteries. I keep then in the smart charger full time. Also have a bunch of 40v tools that get constant abuse as well.

I have 6 Ryobi 18v batteries since 2020-23. All work fine so far. 2 of them got lots of use with the leaf blower. And i haven't seen much degradation yet.
I always charge them up before putting away if i used most of the charge. And I never leave them in cold.

I agree with you. Some of the old ryobi batteries wouldn't charge after like a year of minimal usage. But I found if I used a different charger, it would charge the battery. 🤷

I've had some that's about 7-8 years old now since I start their tool set. One had issue with lights blinking and can't charge, but that one got warrantied by Ryobi pretty quick.

The older batteries must be NI-CD batteries. Those were pretty weak.

I have the smaller brother p262 mid torque and I can't even imagine how much power this one will have for the average home diyer

For regular DIY, maybe not needed. But when you get to rusty brake bolts in the NE here, it's a matter of getting it off or not.

Here is a video(P261) comparison.

This is a brushless HP tool. The tool is large and heavy. But has great set of features to control the torque this beast is capable of. The battery is a HP battery which delivers the juice this tool needs to shine. This tool, the high pressure inflator and 1 gallon vacuum are standout deals from Ryobi this year. Also this is the lone HP tool that Ryobi put on a deal this season
