Even $300 is crazy AF. I got my 32GB Kit DDR5 5200Mhz for $60 last year 2024.

How would this perform paired with an RTX 5070? Better off just buying parts separately?

Would this iGPU be able to play older games, like Civ 5/6, Fallout 4, and of course, SKYRIM!?

Yes. 780m is a good performer especially at 1080p

Awesome, thank you so much! My current rig has a first gen core i7-920, 12 GB of DDR-3, and a 1070 ti. It plays all of my old games well at 1080p and some at 1440p

You can price the ram 32 gb ddr 5 to $1000 doesn't mean everyone will buy it. Some will buy not everyone sily to pay at that price

will need to upgrade power supply and double check to make sure the 5070 would fit in the case.

Thanks for the post! I might get this instead of going with a mini PC (from what I read the minipc's are unreliable, 2-3 years of use prior to failures).

Hmm in your case the 1070ti in terms of raw performance will still outperform the 780m. But the 780m has software tricks like FSR that will help a bit, and the CPU would be drastically better.

9060 xt 16gb is much better value.. and not sure if the power supply would handle a graphics card...

Good point. Also, even with Civ 5 late game is slow. I'd imagine a much, MUCH newer CPU would chew through turns!
