Good find. Without carrier support hard to find an iPhone on sale.

I just picked mine up for $479.99 plus tax. Here's how:
Add this Visible activation card to your cart along with the iPhone 15 the OP links to trigger a $50 off promo:
https://www.bestbuy.com/product/v...JXJCJKJF8C

This will take $50 off the price of the phone but add $26 for the cost of the Visible activation card. When you pick up your items, ask the rep to return the activation card. My transaction worked without a problem.

On top of that, American Express has $25 back on $250 purchase at Best Buy.

Whats wrong with the 16e or am I missing something here?
16e isn't a bad phone considering. It's a 16 chipset. Stripped down single camera and no MagSafe. If you don't care about those then do you

It is a good deal. It is a new phone (no scratches , full battery health and warranty ). You don't need to worry about FB scams either. Sure you can get something better on FB, but convenience has a price too.

Thanks for the find! I had just ordered refurb from Apple and thanks to this post just got new for the same price. I don't manage the plan for the person I'm buying this for, so unfortunately can't play most of the carrier specific deals.

You are very welcome. I'm glad you saw the value. This was a straight purchase for a new phone with no switcharoo games. It was very discounted. My Tello plan is $15 a month unlimited so I buy phones outright usually.

Any consensus on this or the 16e (same price) for a 71 year old parent who is not tech savvy? Even though this is technically a better deal, I am thinking maybe the 16e for longer software support? I do not believe the camera or MagSafe matter for her.

What kind of phone does she have already?

Why not get the Verizon Prepaid option for $299 if you purchase an unlimited plan? It will be locked for two months of active service on the network, but then it unlocks and you could use it on any network. https://www.verizon.com/prepaid/

Oh interesting I didn't realize that they had a discount for getting 6 months of the Silver plan (regular monthly price $45, so six months full price would have been $270). Total does not discount the plan if you buy multiple months.

Appreciate your reply! She is currently on an iPhone SE first gen. We have a grandfathered TMobile family plan that is $120/month for unlimited everything (4 lines), and we don't plan on switching plans/carriers. I'll check out the Verizon deal if it unlocks after 2 months.

Yes, so, you could always get a new phone with a new phone number on Verizon, keep it as a locked phone for 2 months, then add the T-Mobile phone line after it gets unlocked. If the timeline (until the phone is able to be used on T-Mobile) fits with what you need.
