Gave it a try against my better judgement. If it doesn't ship or I get scammed, I will be sure to be petty and post negative things about this website on any further slickdeal post I see in the future.
Hi. I've used these backups for years. I have three that I just parted out and tossed in the trash. The batteries are definitely replaceable but only because it's a few screws to take the cover off and then unplug and reconnect the positive and negative terminals. But it's an unsanctioned task, it voids warranty etc. A couple things to note, they only last about a year. The batteries are expensive and is no longer worth replacing, hence why I threw out all of mine. It used to be worth it a few years back. And I'm not buying them anymore anyway because the backup power runs out too quick (rated for 2.6 minutes lol). It's almost not worth having them. Also, sometimes they get LOUD for no reason. BUT it's a heck of a deal. Still not biting.

No doubt you could end up with old stock in which the battery dies prematurely, but a good one will last 5 years.
And not sure how much voiding the warranty matters if it's the difference between throwing it away or reusing it. But these smaller ones use less common size batteries that cost more than larger size/capacity battires and make it not worth replacing if you can wait for the next deal.
