Pixels with the tensor processor is inferior to the snapdragon
Snapdragons throttle to hell and back.

I have always had Samsung Phones but have been curious about this one. I wonder how the camera compares to the Samsung S line cameras.
This phone is fine. It doesn't have the Israeli spyware, unlike Samsung phones, so that's a big plus. 👍

Being a google user for a while, from Nexus 6 to the Pixel 9 XL Pro. Great phone overall but YMMV, especially software and the whole integration with Google ecosystem. In my opinion what makes the Pixel camera great is the software. And having not Samsung junk added to it is even better...pure android.

My Pixel 6 takes better photos than my S24U. I sell stuff on eBay, when I take pics, I grab my Pixel. The photos are just way more detailed and clearer. I'd have to increase the sharpness to 80% on my S24U and contrast to 50%, still the Pixels photos look better. With those edits on my S24U, the photo is decent..

I have a Pixel 9 pro (switched from iPhone), other than the pain of no Airdrop, and now waiting for that to be fixed on the 9 pro, I'm also curious on what bad rep on the 9?

Not sure how this is a deal. Mint still has it for $679 and includes 1 year of service. It was even better when it was $579
I cancelled my order at $580 only because I need an unlocked phone right away.

Pixel 9 cons and network issues

The Google Pixel 9 has been reported to have several cons and network issues, including:
  • Network Connectivity Problems: Users have experienced dropped calls, slow mobile data, and "No Service" errors. These issues often stem from software bugs, carrier incompatibilities, or misconfigured settings.
  • Camera Tilt Issue: Some users have reported a camera tilt when using the 5x telephoto lens, which can be noticeable during video recording.
  • Signal Reception Issues: Users have reported frequent drops in connectivity and an inability to maintain a stable 5G connection.
  • Battery Drain: The Pixel 9 has been noted for its fast battery drain, which can be attributed to its power-hungry cores.
you can find in reviews on android authority or thedroidguy sites they are reputed reviewers.

Airdrop on Android? Android has had nearby or quick share for awhile. Android + iOS gained interoperability.

Upper mid tier phone, battery and processor is holding this one back. Offer a 6500mah battery and a snapdragon processor and I would have purchased this phone this year. The cameras are great but most phones these days are and really only know the difference with a side by side comparison.
