I can't vouch for these specifically, but Cascade punches above their weight class. A lot of people prefer the quicklock poles, but I actually like the twist versions like this better -- they hold more consistently and don't snag on clothes and gear as easily. Just takes a little more elbow grease to lock them down.

Foam grips are a lot better on bare hands than hard rubber, but not as nice as real cork ($$).

Funny thing is I'm only here for a dishwasher detergent alert

I own more trekking poles than I should for someone who doesn't trek.

Great price. With a $25 MSRP these are the cheapest in their line-up. They have the twist locks that can be problematic, but on the positive side, a pair of these weigh just 18 oz. Personally, I prefer the CF ones with Quick Locks from Costco for about $35.

i grabbed this set, they are robust, but pretty long even when folded up. about 20-22" in length folded up. i got a second set which compacts down to about 14". the price is nothing to shake a stick at though. really good deal

Sometimes cheap poles are good when traveling with carry-on only. That way if TSA takes them away they were just the cheap ones.

I also have the Costco deal, CF quick-lock with cork handles and they were great.
A spare pair at this price and weight is perfect since they can get abused
Thanks

Put the rubber tip on it. Less likely for them to take it since it isn't sharp on the x-ray

Nice deal. I have the CF quick lock versions with cork handles that have lasted me for years.

Quick lock versions won't loosen up like twist locks that can fall out or get dirt in between. The CF poles are a little lighter. For $10 totally worth it. Even just for the replacement feet.

The Costco one seems to be $82, am I missing another version?
