FAQ's:
- No, you cannot use Staples GC's to purchase these.
- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.
- No, you cannot use coupons/ rewards to purchase these GC's.
- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV
- The limit of 9 may or may not be enforced depending on your store/ cashier. YMMV
- Why is this a deal? Some members have CC's that earn 5% CB at office supply stores (INK and Amex Simply Cash). Others need to meet minimum CC spend.
- What if my store doesn't accept payment with a CC? Your store likely has had issues with fraud and it is managers discretion on what payment they will accept.
- Other chase cards may have special offers for Staples ($ limited). Check your chase account under chase offers.

Ugh, it's so risky to buy in store now.

How so? I've bought over a dozen since August without issues.

Gift cards are targets since people take them home, open them up, copy the numbers, reglue them, bring em back to stores. People buy gift cards, surprise someone else has the numbers.

It's been a thing for years.

Where does it say in the weekly ad that there is no fee on the GCs?

It's funny that's what you expected people to think you were referring to but have you even seen them lately? There's literally holograms on the back that would be destroyed if you tried to do that. I've bought hundreds and never once had an issue.

I dont think they are taking them home but they are getting the numbers. We have recieve 2 cards from Walgreens that had zero balance on them even though we had the receipt and walgreens shows they were activated. We also had 1 from target. Once you activate them somehow people empty them instantly and the stores will not refund you or help you even with a receipt. All gift cards are very risky nowadays
