I believe Amazon has removed all listings for the recalled ones, but here is the list.

Ugh, nothing is wrong with this model. If anything, they probably have better safety measures built in now.

The recall is for units sold exclusively on Amazon USA between August 2021 and April 2022.

I bought one of these over the summer for about $10-11. Worked great charging the kids tablets while we were on vacation. I'd buy it again for this price.

No coupon for me either. Price shows as $18.68.
Maybe because I bought it in September using a SD discount?

Anybody have the promotion code for us to try?

Be advised. I just saw a news report Sunday morning about this brand having power bank recalls because they were starting fires. Please check this device for a recall before buying it
I was just about to say the same thing.

Thank you for raising awareness — and we agree, safety always comes first. This recall only applies to a specific batch of the INIU BI-B41 power bank sold on Amazon US between August 2021 and April 2022, with the following serial numbers: 000G21, 000H21, 000I21, and 000L21. For full details, please refer to the official CPSC recall notice: 🔗 https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2026...-on-Amazon We proactively initiated this recall and take product safety seriously. Units outside the affected range are safe to use. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. — Team INIU

Thank you for your careful reading and for pointing this out correctly. You are absolutely right – the voluntary recall is specific to the BI-B41 model with serial numbers 000G21, 000H21, 000I21, and 000L21, sold between August 2021 and April 2022. We apologize that the safety notification email from Amazon was sent to a broader group of customers than intended, causing unnecessary concern.

I dont think thats a reason to downvote they didnt give any wrong info and I bought mine a few weeks ago and its been recalled. (Dec 2 is when I got the email)

Reading the other comments some people are saying theres a new recall and someone else said theirs is getting recalled after they bought some a few weeks ago.

you said amazon didnt have the right information. so is there no new recall and amazon is sending false alerts?
Totally understand how confusing this has become, especially with all the mixed messages in the comments. To clarify: there is no new recall. The only affected units are a limited batch of the INIU BI-B41 power bank sold on Amazon US between August 2021 and April 2022, and only those with the following serial numbers: 000G21, 000H21, 000I21, and 000L21. Amazon sends notifications based on the model purchased, not the serial number — so it's possible to receive an alert even if your unit isn't actually part of the recall. That's part of a broad safety protocol under US regulations, to make sure no potentially impacted customers are missed. If your unit doesn't fall within that date or serial number range, you're all set — no action needed. If you're unsure and want help verifying your unit, feel free to reach out. We're happy to help double-check.

I received two emails from Amazon saying recalled, and I wouldn't have known to double-check that it was possibly incorrect based on serial numbers, etc.
We totally understand how repetitive these emails can feel. Amazon sends recall notices based on product models, not individual serial numbers — so even if your unit isn't part of the affected batch, you may still receive a message if you previously purchased that model. It's a broad safety protocol required by US regulations, and Amazon does this to ensure no potentially affected units are missed, even if that means some users may get multiple reminders. If you've already confirmed your unit isn't impacted, there's no further action needed — and we really appreciate your patience through the process.

I got the recall email from Amazon. I went to the buy again and clicked on it and page removed so I thought I had one of the bad ones. Checked serial number and it is not one of the listed numbers so I'm good I guess. What annoys me is it says do not throw in trash or recycling or any lithium battery drop off at stores. It says contact your local municipality well guess what we do not have a collection place for our County. Now what I bury it in the backyard?

As for performance I've only used this a few times as I have a Jackery now but it did fine and fully charged a few phones before draining out. Worth the few bucks it costs.
Thanks for following up — and glad to hear your unit isn't on the recall list. Totally understand how frustrating disposal instructions can be, especially when local options are limited. If you ever do need to recycle a power bank in the future, here are a few helpful routes: 1. Find a local drop-off site: Many hardware or electronics stores participate in programs like Call2Recycle: https://www.call2recycle.org/locator 2. If there's nothing nearby, the best thing to do is store the unit safely — away from heat or moisture — until your area offers a disposal event. 3. Check your city/county site: Many communities host occasional e-waste or battery collection events. Really appreciate your patience — and thank you for calling out where our instructions could be clearer. Feedback like this truly helps us improve where it counts.
