That's how I know it works.
Getting it free is a payment. Which is why it's taxed.
I take it you do Vine
Ah, sorry, I thought you might have been implying they were biased in some way, and they typically aren't. In fact, vine reviewers are equally annoyed about bad products because they still need to pay something for them. Ya, I've done it in the past, but not currently.

It's an algorithm based on age, gender, location, etc. I've only left maybe a few dozen reviews over the last decade. I finally got invited a couple months back after leaving a bad review for a usb c charger. I didn't accept it though after learning that you have to pay taxes on the "free" items. You also can only get items under $100 at first. There very few "good" items to go around. Also have leave a review for 80% of 100+ items in 6 months or something crazy like that to move up to the next tier and get more expensive items. Wasn't worth my time or tax drama.

Spend a little more and get some decent budget buds: Tozo Crystal, Baseus BP1 or Moondrop space travel.

Yea they don't offer you nice things to review, its like the most arbitrary junk possible at first, like an a wheel bearing abs sensor for a prius, or an oil pan gasket for a car you don't have, so yea don't dream of free electronics.

I didn't enjoy that aspect, but it's hard to say it wasn't worth it, as you can just buy things you want, and at that point you're paying 30% of the value of an item or less. There also tax strategies to minimize that further, but the key is only buy things you wanted anyway. And 80 items to review in a 6-month period isn't terrible for many, as you can grab three items a day when you start, and there are items with no taxable value (like cosmetic and food items) that can get you there quick. It's particularly useful if you have a family, as there are tons of items you would have bought anyway. The biggest issue is that items get taken extremely fast (there's a limited amount of each item), and items get released at odd hours. And that's where the time aspect becomes a problem and why I stopped.

The BC1's were so awful sounding, hopefully these are a bit better.
I have a pair of the Baseus, and the sound quality depends so much on ear structure and positioning. Mine sound great when in the correct position, but I have to fiddle too much to get there. I kept them because I don't find in ear buds to be comfortable (or they fall out) and these stay put and are comfortable to wear for longer periods.

Arrived, decent for spoken word stuff, but unless your ears are tiny you won't have any bass lol

Got mine today. Sound is tinny, volume is low, fit is awkward. I was pretty certain that the cone shape of the earbud speaker pointing right at the ear canal would make the sound better, but somehow this wasn't the case. Zero bass, all treble and some mids. Compared to the Truefree open air earbuds which a bought a week earlier for a similar price Kinglucky is definitely a step down.
P.S. They also seem to discharge quicker than other open air clip-on earbuds, I doubt I'll get more than 5 hours of playback on a single charge.
Positives: case charge percentage display is nice.
Honestly, I don't think they are worth more than $10.
