Such comments are extremely useless and ruin a good deal. Just because you randomly saw a coupon in the past does not mean it was lower than this price before.
Even when this was up with LEVELUP20 it was at a higher price than this: https://slickdeals.net/f/18416437-hp-omen-35l-gaming-desktop-intel-ultra-7-265f-rtx-5070-ti-16gb-ddr5-512gb-ssd-850w-1703-99?v=1&src=SiteSearch
And with every other coupon this configuration was higher than this current deal's price:
1. https://slickdeals.net/f/18623350-hp-omen-35l-gaming-desktop-intel-ultra-7-265f-rtx-5070-ti-16gb-ddr5-512gb-ssd-1761-99?v=1&src=SiteSearch

Next time, make sure you have facts straight.

Honestly, this would be a pretty good deal, but what's with the 512GB drive?!? You would probably need to end up adding 16gb more RAM and another secondary 1-4 TB drive.

This isn't a hot deal. 512 GB drive. Only 16 GB of RAM. 500 W power supply which is insufficient for the RTX 5070 TI. To upgrade to 1 GB drive, 32 GB of RAM, and 850W powersupply, the base price comes out to $1930 - 10% off.
.
There's definitely been much better deals this year, but the deals haven't been that great overall IMO. Going into a possible economic slow down, with huge pushback against AI data centers, and a lot of people thinking this AI craze is becoming to look a lot like ... a ponzi scheme... everywhere you go.... this is giving off some serious end of the crypto craze vibes where prices are through the roof just before they collapse. Add that Windows offered extensions for Windows 10 support for a year (at least to some people)... and the rush to buy brand new computers to support Windows 11 isn't as pressing anymore.
