I have something similar that uses AA batteries and lasts for 5-6 months. I'd toss these things if I have to run around the house recharging an army of motion lights every 7 days. Because let's face it... These will last at most 7 days despite what they advertise.

Depends where they are... I have one inside my mailbox, and a couple in my garage cabinet. Lasts a few months.

I have similar ones I keep them under my kitchen cabinets and they all seem to last a few months.

I bought the puck lights from the same brand and they look great. I am not going to use the rechargeable feature instead permanently wiring in a USB-C to each light all tied to a slimline 7-port USB hub at the top of the cabinets to distribute power. I tested and the motion sensor does work even when wired and charging. The only con is there is no way to turn off the red light when they charge that turns green after charging if left plugged in. To mitigate I plan to connect the hub power to a kasa plug set to a over night only ON routine so that during the day they are not having any indicator lights.

I use identical ones (probably a different brand) in closets and they last 6 months.

My ones that use batteries last two weeks at most. Then I have to take out the batteries, charge them, put them back in, out the thing back up.

These charge via USBC. That seems a lot easier. I bet you could just plug them in really....

Thanks OP. Have similar ones in closets and our pantry. I need some like these that have adjustable color temp for adding under cabinet lighting. Hopefully these have decent enough battery life.
