A) if you want the best print quality, you should always calibrate your filament, regardless of any ready made profiles. Every printer is different even say two P1S'. You can get very good prints with ready made profiles, but you won't be maximizing your filaments potential, regardless of brand.

B) This is not a no name brand at all. It's many people's go to brand for their unique colors. You may not have heard of it because there aren't many deals on it. Their Burnt titanium series may be the nicest filaments I've used and I have over 300 rolls of filament currently.

C) you shouldn't compare pricing of silk and especially the rainbow variants to basic PLA or PETG.

D) your infatuation with plastic spools will make you miss out on a lot of good filament. The highest regarded brands in the industry use cardboard spools. Elegoo is generally my go to because imo it's the best from the affordable brands. If I want to put it in my AMS, I either slap on an adapter or put on an empty Bambu spool (both take less than two minutes. You can Google videos).

If you have coins with aliexpress, going through the coin page will give an additional 17% off. And this coupon works with the matte rainbow color as well.

Matte is here. It's more expensive than the silk though. But I was able to stack coins and coupon. So the price came out to be around 30 for me I just found this on AliExpress:
$28.48 | ERYONE 1/3/5/10KG Matte Rainbow PLA 3D Print Premium Filament,Macaron+Watercolor, pla matte rainbow filament wholesale big sale

I used another generic brand of PLA Silk in my Bumbulabs X1C. It prints half the print perfectly and then has layer adhesion issues and starts printing spheghetti (and AI doesn't detect this which is a fail).

Anyone know what is wrong? How can I get the filament to print, wrong extrusion temp? I think the profile is using dynamic 190-240C. Filament lists 200-220F but I found no way to change extrusion temp from the phone app.

$10/kg for a no name brand isn't slick
they probably don't have oem calibrated filament presets for popular printers like bambu lab
at least sunlu, kingroon and esun have filament presets so you have a higher chance of successful prints and don't waste money and time calibrating yourself.
i got 10 rolls of 1 kg each kingroom for $5.80 each, petg and the spool are plastic, not cardboard like this, which doesn't work in a lot of ams boxes.
I'm getting failed prints with the generic SILK PLA setting on bambu X1C. Any tips? Delamination of layers half way through.

Why do you have issues with cardboard? I've been using them with X1C + AMS with no issues. Are there issues with cardboard I've not run into yet? I've only been printing a month.

If this is a no name brand, what do you consider a name brand for filament?

This does not play nice with AMS lite. Use external spool holder.

I personally never did, but have read that people recommended not to due to concerns about the cardboard slightly deteriorating and I never wanted to take the risk. So I either transfer to a reusable Spool or use an adapter if I want to run them in my AMS - both are very quick for me so I figured no reason not to.

You're asking the wrong person based on their comment (and kind of the wrong place). I would suggest you go to Reddit and check out /r/fixmyprint. Be sure to include your print settings, filament details, and the model you're working with so people have a better idea, as the information you've given isn't enough to diagnose a problem like that.

Hardly no name brand. Eryone makes great Silk PLA. I've ran at least a dozen full spools through the various 3D printers I have. Very minimal effort needed to get great prints, runs best around 210C on a slower marlin firmware printer, and 220C on faster klipper firmware printers.

Pulled the trigger, I use a lot of Eryone filament and it's great stuff. Not sure what people are complaining about!
