I guess that's why it's so cheap by today's standards given the current ram shortage
For people with budget motherboards I'm guessing it might be helpful? One family member's desktop PC has a motherboard that was released year 2020 (or google says so anyways) but it really, REALLY does not like running ram past the 2400 speed this ram clocks in at despite bios updates and the ram being on the "approved ram" list for the MB.. it was admittedly a budget board when it was purchased too so there's that.
I was seriously tempted to buy this anyways on the "any ram is better than no ram at all" grounds in case the ram in one of our three desktop PC's fails but then I would have wasted $90 if the ram ends up working just fine until this ram shortage (hopefully!) is over years from now (?
