I would stay away from Carote cookware. I'm an Amazon Vine reviewer and received a Carote cookware set free in exchange for an unbiased review. The handles on a large pan melted a little after first use. They were nice enough to send me a whole new set with different handle material, but now those handles are actually starting to crack. The nonstick also degrades quickly. You do get a lot of pots and pans for the money, but just know these won't last more than a year.

To be fair though, this set is very different.
It's stainless steel and the handles here are riveted on and are not their detachable ones. Your experience is worth noting in that the brand may do some aggressive corner cutting.
I'd say if you're in the market for something like this, do some more research into this particular set before completely dismissing it.

Not really a reputable brand. Would be concerned about the thickness of the aluminum core in a budget tri-ply stainless steel pan. Would suggest checking TJMaxx or Homegoods for some 2nds All Clad or Viking, or just look for a deal on Cuisinart Multiclad for stainless steel clad pots and pans from manufacturers with a better/more trusted track record.

My experience is with two different cookware sets from this company -- the first one through Amazon Vine and a different replacement set that Carote sent directly to me to make up for the issue with the first set. Both are one level above trash. Companies that make bad products usually don't make good ones. Maybe this set is different. I'll never know since I'll never get another product of any type from them.

When you cook you want something to retain heat. Keeping the balance temp in a frying pan is essential. Aluminum is the cheapest metal to use. Dollar store and Walmart brands use this. If you use aluminum the second you throw in a few chicken cutlets the oil cools down and won't fry making you cutlets soggy since they are absorbing the oil instead of being at frying temp and just frying in it.

I bought 8 inch pan from this brand. I won't recommend this.
The near-vertical sides lack the gentle slope needed to easily flip. Pan gets stained easily and doesn't distribute heat evenly

That's the whole purpose of a tri-ply stainless steel pan.

You literally have no clue what you're talking about.

You're just so incorrect. Aluminum cores serve a very important role in cooking. Look at the America's Test Kitchen video where they go over the ones they test. That'll explain it much better.

You don't always want a pan that stores heat like that. eggs for example require a wide range of temperature.

Also, professional kitchens use mostly pure aluminum pans.

Do these work as drying pans too?

Cooking pan materials is a lot more nuanced than your statement. This is a great video on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdORIBH3R88 Anyways, aluminum is a really great pan material and ideally you want a pan with as thick of a layer as possible. The standard all clad d3 line has an overall thickness of about 2.6mm thick of material, with the aluminum core being about 1.7mm. Quality tri-ply pans should be as thick of thicker than this for my standard. I do not know Carote's thickness on these pans it could honestly go either way.

Yeah until you learn restaurants using aluminum to cook your food

The non stick depends on the heat of the pan , there is no non Stick coating on these
