Not really a reputable brand. Would be concerned about the thickness of the aluminum core in a budget tri-ply stainless steel pan. Would suggest checking TJMaxx or Homegoods for some 2nds All Clad or Viking, or just look for a deal on Cuisinart Multiclad for stainless steel clad pots and pans from manufacturers with a better/more trusted track record.

I would stay away from Carote cookware. I'm an Amazon Vine reviewer and received a Carote cookware set free in exchange for an unbiased review. The handles on a large pan melted a little after first use. They were nice enough to send me a whole new set with different handle material, but now those handles are actually starting to crack. The nonstick also degrades quickly. You do get a lot of pots and pans for the money, but just know these won't last more than a year.

To be fair though, this set is very different.
It's stainless steel and the handles here are riveted on and are not their detachable ones. Your experience is worth noting in that the brand may do some aggressive corner cutting.
I'd say if you're in the market for something like this, do some more research into this particular set before completely dismissing it.
