Lego gives points, a free gift-with-purchase, and you can use discounts from your points on it. $30 isn't compelling.

As much as I love Lego and the looks of these huge sets, I just could never part with $500 for one. The only large set I have is the Mos Eisley Cantina (biggest one). But, I traded 4 sets and $50 for an open one.

The other thing is space. Where do you put all of these? If I had an entire room just for them I guess. Then there's the dust. I'm highly allergic to dust and Lego sets are huge dust magnets. And acrylic cases are crazy expensive.

I knew even before clicking that this deal was instantly dead, even though not marked as such yet. Came for the commiserative posts.

Yea this set is a definite want for me; but I do recall seeing it for around $400 recently new; or even 420-430 previously. I dont think this is the right time to bite. Appreciate the post though!

Measly discount on a $500 set. Tax brings you right back to $500.

Agreed. The original price when it was posted was 400 but not even a deal at the price now.

Other note is generally Woot items are from different regions.

Not a terrible price if you really want it before Xmas for a present. But cmon 30 bucks off isn't great either… double points and a bonus set buying from LEGO beats that esp w a cash back site. I'd buy it for 430.

Yeah original $400 was a deal, $469, not even close to a SD. As other's have said you could do better during a Lego 2x + freebie + CB sale. Heck, could have bought a Target gift card during 10% off sale which would equal $450.

I think I've netted close to $375 through various cashbacks from purchases the last couple weeks to complete my new PC setup. My plan is to just use all that towards this set once the CB is posted to my account. Should make out like a bandit if I order off Lego directly and use some of my points, etc.
