Reddit has a rumor [reddit.com] that T-mobile will offer a free line to certain accounts starting tomorrow, Dec 11. Segment will be Loyalty BYOD Dec 2025, promo code ID250791 / SP158. No other info or qualification requirements available at this time.
If this does come through and you are eligible, get it ASAP. T-mobile does not announce end dates of their promotions, so it can end at any time.

Current plan
T-Mobile 1 (One)
2 paid lines = $100
1 free line (2018) 0
Internet 50
One line has insurance 18.xx
My bill is about 170$ a month most times.
The last few times I called and checked they said I wasn't eligible?
If I want to start using a free line instead, should I cancel a paid line now or should I wait until after I've gotten the free line? (Or does it make no difference)?

Or so I'm saying now. I'll try calling tomorrow and trying to I get another line FOR FREE!
Don't even bother calling, go straight to T-Force on X.
It seems like the people on the phone are out of the country, probably recently hired and they are trained to lie. The T-Force people on X seem to be the people who have worked at T-Mobile for a long time and actually know everything and are actually helpful.

In the past, if you've cancelled a paid line then you wouldn't be eligible for a free line unless you add the previously removed paid line back. And after you do get a free line, you cannot remove any paid lines within 1 year or else you lose the free line promo and it becomes a paid line. So your best bet is to get the free line if you're eligible and then wait a year to cancel a paid line.
