I'd get the Fire TV. You can sideload apps on the Fire TV and add Kodi if you'd like. Then that opens your world up to a whole bunch of free TV and movies and what not.You can't sideload and add Kodi on a Roku TV... as far as I know.

Might want to read up on the side loading on FireTV/Firestick. Amazon is about to disable it. Cue the IT nerd comments- all you need to do is block the update on your router, yeah good luck with that long term. Supposedly Google will be doing the same within a year or so. We will be going back to the vanilla Android boxes with who knows what running on them or using a PC from the looks of it. The cinema app has been working great on my firesticks recently but that's all going away soon, got the warning message the other day.

Personally I'd pay the extra 30 for Roku over Fire TV. They are both 4k 60hz direct lit.

Ordered this as a bar tv for the basement to replace a 20 year old tv.
Hopefully it's not as awful as the price suggests

On the fence about picking it up to replace same size LG in my bedroom. The LG is garbage has the worst sound and It doesn't have an optical or stereo out. If this has those I may jump on it.

I love these as I side load apps, they're cheap and the
Fire interface has no lag. Have one in garage for YouTube tutorials while fixing cars, one in guest bedroom and recently put another next to my LG OLED in man cave so I can watch football while playing PS5. Insignia next to the OLED was the 32" $70 one, contrast isn't near as bad as I thought it'd be
Thanks for the idea. I have an extra 43 in tv collecting dust. When looking for tutorial while working in the garage I'd
used the phone lol. TV is must better.

How's this for a monitor? ok for chroma 4:4:4?
Been using as a monitor for over a year, great resolution all the newest games including MS FS 2024 with graphic settings maxed out, no stuttering even in NYC.

Looks pretty bad for a PC monitor. The Pioneer one for $30 more is better.
Could you point out what about the Pioneer makes you think it would work better as a PC monitor? I looked on rting.kom and couldn't find the Pioneer there.

Bestbuy removed it from their website, but the reviews for the Xumo version had 4:4:4 chroma for PC monitor usage. I personally have one and it looks fine; 4K output looks good.

The TCL is another option.
