Calling this model out for lack of brightnes is somewhat overplayed. If you're in a light controlled room without constant direct sunlight during the day even for watching sports. The one I have is used for exactly that, it's wall mounted at my bar. IMO this model gets plenty bright. It's an OLED so it's awesome.

I'm leaning to believe you. I want OLED so bad, and I want to make sure I can get it, stay under $2k and not regret it b/c of lighting issues.
My wife has plants at the window, so it's a hard sell to tell her I want the curtains/blinds shut!

The TV is plenty bright for us and has different presets available, we run it in the standard preset, there is also a vivid preset that kicks the brightness up too bright for our use case, but for someone that doesn't have the ability to control direct sunlight, that option might be viable. Burn-in is always a concern that comes up with an OLED and it's valid, but manufacturers now use pixel shift and pixel refresh technology that mitigate that issue, I haven't seen it come up in the last few years, but then again we don't have a lot of static content on our screen all day like a news channel, or a sports ticker constantly on the bottom of the screen.
There is also a user mode where everything can be adjusted to a person's own preferences. We do have another TV there, a 2024 model 65-in LG C4, and because that is one level up in the LG stack that is now replaced by the current 2025 LG C5. It does have the ability to go even brighter although we don't even come close to using its maximum capabilities. All in all, we are very happy with the B4, IMO It is an outstanding value.
At our place of business which is a local Pub, we have 11 TV's, a couple of them are Chinese brands TCL and Hisense,inexpensive LED TVs, and this past Black Friday, in addition to that 83-in B5, we had also upgraded a couple of them to some better LED televisions that use mini LED technology. Those are starting to close the gap with OLED, but with OLED, the infinite contrast, the true blacks, and the excellent viewing angles simply can't be beat by any LED technology.
Many YouTube reviewers and experts are predicting that 2026 might be OLED's final hurrah as far as consumer TV's because mini LEDs TVs are getting better each year and are far more inexpensive to manufacture. Even Sony who has the most expensive models are now pushing their Bravia 9 mini LED as their flagship product even though the Bravia 8 II OLED won TV of the year honors in many comparisons, sadly that's probably a snapshot of the future for consumer television.
I apologize in advance for this long reply, it's just that we did a major overhaul of the televisions we had and I spent countless hours researching and actually going to Best Buy and looking at these models, so I'm just sharing what I learned.
