The Sonos Ace represents their first foray into the headphones world. With a premium price tag and Sonos-centric features like TV Swap, they've taken aim at industry titans like the Apple AirPods Max Wireless and Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless. They stack up well when it comes to a sleek and durable design that's comfortable as well as good looking. Even their noise cancelling is up to par with some of the best to date. However, they falter when it comes to sound. They aren't quite as flat-sounding as the Apple, nor do they have the customizability of the Sony. While using them with your soundbar is a great addition if you're already in the Sonos ecosystem, these cans fall short of their competitors

I also tried the Bose Quietcomfort 45 (even though they are super light, I still had pressure on the headband on top of my head), Senheiser Momentum 4 (great sound, not comfortable top of head and ears, and wonky touch controls), Airpods Max (nice sound but heavy and you feel it on top of your head), Sony WH 1000xm5 (Muddy sound no matter what EQ I try, hurts on headband), Sony Ult Wear, Sennheiser Accentum, Bang and Olufsen Beoplay Portal (pretty comfortable, nice sound, maybe less full than others though), Skullcandy Crusher ANC2 (really cool to feel the bass on your head, but in order to get the Crusher motors really going you have to drown out everything else with Bass). I'm not an audiophile but I went on a long quest to find the perfect headphones for me. Still not there but I know a lot more now. Everyone is different and this is just my experience.
