My original order showed $19.95 in the cart, but the final charge after checkout was $14.96 plus tax. Thanks.

Minimal difference. You can run either without issue unless you live in the Arctic

Far from new, I bought this way before it was posted here and they had plenty. Of course now it's out of stock.

I'd stay away from advance auto clearance oil. Last time I bought 4 jugs from 2 different stores and the oil was around 5 years old. Probably old stock.

You are right. The ones I bought from different stores have a 2022 manufactured date. should have 2-3 more years of shelf life dispite Valvoline not giving a expiration period.

This worked! I didn't buy online since I couldn't yard the discounted price until I would have paid, so got it for $14.97ea in store, sealed oil doesn't expire, it was in the ground millions of years before refinement. Solid deal. "Hybrid" oil is also a bit of a scam, I use this weight oil in a non-hybrid and a hybrid, the additive differences are trivial. I wouldn't have gone out of my way for this oil if it was the same or pricier than supertech oil, and I had to return a loaner tool so it was worth the stop. What I picked up is about 2 years old. I just put 20 year old, new Dino oil in a tractor.

In for 2 jugs at $14.96, a great price. It's API SP, only very recently SQ released. Plan on running in IC Honda/Nissan engines with confidence. Thanks for the heads up!

Relatively true, just depends on your tolerance for older oil. Got (3) November 2022 and (1) February 2023. I'll definitely use them within the suggested 5 year life time span although lots of debates about that being a conservative figure by the oil companies.

As others have pointed out this is "New Old Stock", and it wouldn't surprised me if it's 3 years old. It is API SP, the current standard is API SQ. OTOH, it's down to $6.35 per 5 quarts which is ridiculously cheap. I asked Gemini the recommended shelf life and it said it depends on storage conditions. In a climate controlled environment it could be 10 years... In an uncondition garage. 5 years.

Bottom line, I think it's perfectly safe to buy a couple bottles, and a great deal, but I wouldn't stock up too much. I'd plan to use it within 2 years.
