Raw performance wise this is about the same as a 9070 but unless you need 20GB of VRAM, the 9070 is the better buy around the same price for the newer architecture, better ray tracing, and better upscaling performance.

For just gaming I would go with the 9070 because of Redstone compatibility, but if you also use it for AI workloads like LLMs or Comfy UI then this would be slightly better because of the increased VRAM.

Damn, this 7900XT cost less than my 6950XT I purchased back in June of 2023. Had I not bought my 9070XT June of this year, I probably would've considered buying one of these.

Nah you made the right choice. 9070XT is a bigger jump from the 6950XT, not to mention energy efficiency improvements.

I collect GPUs over time after using them so I probably would've kept both.
