16 AWG, this is a 10 amp max extension cord. I wouldn't use this for anything except lights.

I run power tools all day with 25foot 16 gauge never had an issue. Maybe jackhammer and mortar mixer need 14 gauge sometimes. Good deal

Agree. There is really no benefit in going smaller besides weight and cost, which aren't compelling at all.
