We bought the same brand but slightly different model a couple of months ago. It was this one - https://www.walmart.com/ip/148790...86b7770e0c

It's just ok, but not very burly. The key thing I noticed compared to nicer wall mounts is that the vertical height of the back plate is like 5 in vs more burly ones that are 8 in. I am specifically talking about the portion that mounts to the wall. We have it set as stationary so It has been working fine, but If you are going to be constantly pulling it in and out and tilting it, I think about getting something a bit more substantial. For example, take a look at the size of the back plate on this Harbor Freight one. Yes it is twice the price. There might be other less expensive options.

I got this over blackfriday for $30 and it is pretty solid for my 50" tv. Make sure you pay attention which way you mount it because it's a pain in the ass to realize it's upside down after all the bolts are in and tightened XD

I went with a non-articulating flat mount for like $14 because I don't reposition my TVs, I value their sturdiness, and I'm cheap.

However, if this was available at this price I would have bought it instead. Even if you do it only once, the final step of getting everything connected and on the wall is always a pain in the ass due to clearance. For the extra $6 this would have been a game changer in that last step. I almost want to buy this just in case.

Qualifications: I've hung or repositioned TVs 50 - 85" about 5 or 6 times. Once with articulated and others with flat mount.

This is why I'm considering this. Honestly I also don't mind spending more for peace of mind - is there a better and stronger one you'd recommend?

Look for mounts that are UL listed. This means it can handle more than the weight limit listed. If not, you take your chances hoping a kid doesn't rip it off the wall. We install TVs and customers want to reuse old mounts. Some we are surprised the tv was still hanging.

Honestly, I've always gone with cheaper ones as long as they are rated for the weight of my TV. You need to check.
- Mount spacing
- Weight limits/ your TV weight

But I've never had a failure with the cheap ones. I'd only really go super beefy if you plan to move the TV a lot. In that case I'm sorry though, I don't have a preferred one to recommend. 110lb is pretty beefy though. Heaviest LCD I have is about 50lbs at 75"

I don't disagree with buying beefier than needed. But likely if they're doing something forceful enough to break the mount the TV is gonna break too, most TVs are flimsy. Your mount will be fine but your TV still broken. Best to just nip that in the bud vs future proof for stupid. 😂

Yes, I have two kids just on the cusp of teen years. I have had my share of rambunctious movie nights but "Homie Don't Play That" it's not that hard to teach kids that self control is a valuable skill. Made one on my sons friends nearly 💩 his pants for just that same stupidity.

Perfect timing just bought my mom a 55" for Christmas. It only weighs about 20lbs so this should be plenty.

Need one that can adjust vertically, up and down. Really just up, need to secure in a lower position on an RV into a steel rib then adjust upwards to a viewing position. Any suggestions?

We needed a similar thing for a gym but it also needed it to come out forward. There are options that I had found and I'll tell you the one that we went with.

Option 1 is something like this Mount-it.
https://www.mount-it.com/products...tvs-mi-384

Option 2 is a Mantelmount MM Max1. This goes up and down, swivels left and right, and pulls out as well. Unfortunately this is $600 but built like a tank. This is the one that we went with with on a 75-in TV and it has been great.
https://www.mantelmount.com/colle...n-tv-mount

Option 3 is the MM340

You might be able to find some cheaper versions of options 1 and 3, but not sure you're going to find anything cheaper at the same quality of option 2.

Good luck to you!
