8GB of VRAM in a 2025 laptop is disrespectful.

I bought the 5060 version of this laptop and you are correct. You really want the 5070TI version, the 8 GB couldn't hold up. I got the ASUS Zephyrus with the 5070TI

The Acer Predator Helios for $1234 with 5070 ti was perfect. Power limited 5070 ti but 12gb VRAM.

The Lenovo Legion 7i with 5070 ti is $1800 at Microcenter; $500 more!

Why are some people downvoting these comments? This is a $1300 gaming laptop, it should be able to play ALL games at 1440p, not just older ones. I do admit that the processor and screen are nice, but I'd trade that for 12GB VRAM, 100% IPS, and a core i7 that will be very similar in games. Unfortunately, the VRAM setup is not up to Lenovo's discretion, so waiting for a 5070 Ti is much better than trying to buy this now.

I recently picked up the Legion 5 with a 5060 but 1200p matte display (currently $800 at MicroCenter) and my issue with it was not the 8GB of VRAM but the garbage speakers.
Cyberpunk seems fully playable at native res, but probably Battlefield 6 would go under 60.
Regardless, playing games on not native res doesn't look bad at all. Although best would be if 1/4 scale was 1200p, not 800p.

5070 is limited by 8GB VRAM. I would just go with 5060 and save ~$200.

You get a gaming laptop and you're worried about the speakers? Spend 100 extra dollars and get external speakers or headphones.
