I WANT to get one of these but I'm out on the water a lot and I read that OnePlus will not honor warranty for water damage (even though it does swim tracking and ip68 /5 ATM rating.)

Not uncommon.
That said I've been wearing this for months, playing ice hockey with it and at the gym daily and it's been great.
Best battery on any wearos device.

It's missing "fitbit subscription" capabilities. It also doesn't have a cellular option.

The positives? It's faster and battery is literally triple. Has full wearos including tap and pay in the US.

It's the best WearOS on the market currently.

I say spend a few more bucks for the bigger one. The battery life is WEEKS long. It's frequently on sale in aliexpress at not much higher than this deal

No. Samsung's Watch Ultra 2024 was on sale for around $230 some months ago. This is decent if you have a Oneplus phone, but if you have a Samsung phone I would definitely wait for another sale.
Anyway for people who aren't fanboys, here's what I've gathered from a well known reviewer. Quantified Scientist rates the sleep tracking and HR tracking as noticeably worse than the GWUltra, so if that matters I would wait for a sale on that instead.
