These are bit of a tease as they are very unlikely to be available for pickup or shipping for most locations.

I picked one of these up today (via BB delivery), in "Excellent" condition. It's a total dud, and a waste of time. Returning it tomorrow.

1. Although the clear Best Buy seal on the box had been cut prior to my receipt, the box contents appeared fine physically.

2. Several times now, the computer has frozen (mouse pointer won't move) and reboots on its own.

3. Now it is some sort of mode where it won't boot and wants to repair itself. However, it won't connect to the internet — wired or wireless (even though it previously downloaded 4 GB of data to update itself - and my internet works great with every other device on it)

4. It also fails when I try to erase the hard drive and revert it to factory settings (tried both erase options).

I guess that's why these are half-price. Bummer.

Scored one that was listed as fair with Zero accessories, just it in a generic box which is fine by me if all checks out, but it appears to not charge out of the right usb c. Only wants to charge out of the one on the left, is that normal, doesn't seem so per what I read online? I ran the Lenovo Vantage thing and it seems to say everything is good, was hoping it was in need of a bios update or something software related, but it doesn't want to update anything more. Also, did a power cycle and that didn't fix it. Any suggestions by the Slickdeal open box experts before I return? Battery only has 3 cycles says healthy and hard drive checks out. Hate to return just for that. TIA

Ehh. I guess that's the price you get. I would return it tho. There might be other parts that is dwindling.

So was anyone actually able to take advantage of this or was it just another ad disguised as a deal?

Went to pickup mine and the computer they had for my order wasn't correct. They originally offered me 10 percent discount on a new one but did eventually honor it on a a brand new one we drove aways to get it. I haven't used it yet needs to be charged I opened it up and looks very nice much nicer than the incorrect computer.

I know right? I think this is way worth more than $275. I bought one in good condition too at $285 and another $10 in gas cost and extra 1 hour roundtrip of driving but seems worth it.
It's very good for the price. Biggest downside on this is the screen. 60 Hz, 1920 X 1200, and 300 nits is not great on 16" but it depends on how much you care about the screen.

Ok. Finally drove 30 minutes to pick it up. Can't believe I got a ymmv slick deal on slickdeals lol. It was in a random sturdy box. Not lenovo. Screen looks good. Minor smudges on keyboard. Doesn't seem like it was particularly used too much. No charger included but not a big deal. Screen is plenty bright with 300 nits. Only thing i wish it was mat screen. I really don't like glare.
