This is probably about as good as you'll get if you're trying to build a sub-$1000 HTPC for the living room, to compete with the Steam Machine 2 that's coming out next year.

HTPC... with ATX MB and cases, 240 AIO. you don't think it is a bit large for HTPC?

i think this really is a good price, just not in the HTPC form factor for most.

True that I didn't look at the motherboard size, and notice it wasn't ITX or mATX. That being said, there are some ATX cases and towers out there that are more compact than others.

I also personally don't see an issue with hooking up a an ATX mid-tower in the living room, to the big-screen TV. I've personally done that myself, and had no issues. It depends on your cabinet, living room, and setup, whether or not an ATX PC will fit.
