Does Wal-Mart credit for price drops? Chat doesn't seem to think so. Purchased less than 10 days ago @ $500 and now it is $440.

Edit: Called Walmart CS which has been AI shitified. Walmart doesn't do price adjustments after purchase even when less than 10 days. They would rather I return it and reorder the item which involves many more wasted resources than just crediting my card. Are you fking shitting me!?!

OK I bit.
Beats the BF deal by $10 and I was highly considering it for $500. I was preferring the Staples deal with bigger drive and touch screen for $50 more (than the previous $500 price) but none near me and it's in store only.
Took a look at various deals at best buy, and tons of open box deals. Many better machines than this.
But end of the day, this laptop checks most of the boxes for me, and is as cheap as a modern machine can get in new condition. Plus, it has a number pad, which I highly appreciate.
This seems as slick as I can get.

Is it worth contacting them and having them credit me the $60, yes. Is it worth it to go through all the trouble to return and repurchase? Fk NO!

Mate, it's Walmart so YMMV. Beside they're no different than Amazon lol

No, soldered. I use my laptop for text and office work but 16Gb of RAM are not enough when I open pdf files, have 20 tabs opened on mozilla, open zoom, listen to music on spotify.

Otherwise, good price.

So except for the RAM soldered to the board, everything else looks good at this price point.
All of the Best buy's open box PCs, the prices went up today.
It seems retailers are playing hide & seek with customers & dump the old stock and customers are eagerly waiting to grab a best deal. same old story, nothing new LMAO

The soldered ram means its faster in this case. So performance for things like games will improve but as said will lose ability to add more.

Got a similar system for my kid that plays a lot of roblox and other type games. Plays them all very well.

Enlighten us, chief, How does YMMV apply here? Last I checked, policy encompasses ALL stores.

Here is an idea...how about you provide a suggestion on how to deal with them based on a past experience OR move along. No one asked to compare Wally World and Bezopolis. Everyone is already aware they both suck.
