I'm on my third MAG A750GL with the first two having premature fan failures. This 750GLS actually uses a different fan(135mm) so maybe that's a non issue.

As far as I can tell, most other 750W PSUs have 3 or 4 drive cables.
One exception I know of is Corsair RM750e.

Negatives are that it's pretty light, which may not be a real quality concern, and that the accompanying cable inclusions are sparse. On my B650 motherboard I had to use a single cable to plug in the 8 and 4 pin cpu power. They only included 2 daisy chained 8(4+4) pin connectors on the one cable for cpu power. Nothing else can split to 4 pins. There is no second seperate 8 pin for motherboards that have 2 8 pin cpu power headers. You can either connect one cpu power or daisy chain for both headers. I haven't seen only a single cable provided for this before.
Also, this may come from not having bought a new standard PSU in the last 5+ years but the cables are not jacketed. They are stranded wire with lightly embossed insulation. They come with small plastic spreader clips that can be used to make the cable runs lay flat. I tried to use a couple and it seemed more trouble that it was worth. The wires don't all snap into them consistently, some are thinner and some are larger in diameters so the clips get finicky. You could make it work if you were very inclined, but it seemed more hassle than it was worth with this particular clips/cables combination.
Based on the review ratings I've seen and for the money (rebate and Steam gift card), it's hard to pass on if you're looking for a new PSU with these features. If you do pick one up make sure to note the 3-digit CHK code on the label attached to the physical PSU. It's required to register and get the Steam reward.

But I never paid too much attention because it's not something I'm after, so no idea what's in the market.
I'm guessing people would usually use splitters?
No idea what's the max beyond which it would be a bad idea.
