the way to change pressure setting without going thru the doc:
you mustenter the Clinical Menu by pressing and holding the "My Options" and "My Sleep View" buttons for 3 seconds until the screen turns white, then go to Settings to adjust the Mode (CPAP or AutoSet) and the Set Pressure/Pressure Range

And then you can also find out your optimal pressure settings by putting a sd card into the device, record data for a week, upload the data to sleephq, have it generate a report, then send the report to chatgpt or gemini and ask it to recommend cpap pressure range.

just exit out of the pop up, the unlock deal button is still gonna be on the home page even if you choose to ignore their pop up asking you for info

and then when i tried the code HOLIDAY without clicking the unlock deal button, my price is $639 sometimes, and 499 other times, it's weird

So I think clicking on the "unlock deal" button is my preferred way to get the discount

Using my insurance would have cost $1400 spread out over 12 months to make it hard to meet a deductible.

I just got my CPAP last week and I had the pillows and hated them. Have you tried the Airmed Airfit N30i? I like it so much better.
It looks like the N30i is also nasal only like the pillows (I have the P10), so I think I will have the same issue with my mouth opening and air flowing out like an exhaust.

Why is the 10 better?
It's definitely not better. The 10 sounded like a busted Buick idling outside your house. The 11 is much much quieter and uses far less water.

I have the p10 and the n30i. No leaks on the n30i. One thing to mention is you might have your mask too loose or too tight. There is some YouTube videos that are good resources to explain it.

Thank you. I'll look for videos. My issue is not leaking around the nose, but my mouth opening and the air blowing out of my mouth and waking me up. Would a full face mask help or is the mouth opening an issue with a full mask too? I just found from searching that there are chin straps and mouth tape that may help.

yes you need a mask, for mouth breathers i recommend F20 to start, for nose breathers i recommend p10 to start

you could try tape but i think a full face mask is a better idea, like F20, F40, or F30i. Plus, if your nose ever get congested, you can still breath through your mouth via a full face mask. and I'll tell you a secret, ebay sometimes has masks brand new for super cheap, you just gotta keep an eye out.

You can apply firmware to unlock all of the more expensive machines such as BiPap or ASV.

I'm glad I did this because it would have sucked spending money on another sleep study and 2k for the ASV machine only to find out that I couldn't tolerate it.

I have been on the Airsense 10 for over a year and still feel like crap. I just can't get my pressure numbers dialed in. If I go lower something in my throat wakes me up. If I keep it higher I get CA events (stop breathing)
Can you do this firmware unlock on the 11?

I hate that! Then what is the point of insurance if they always want us to pay out of pocket, that's wild! Sorry to hear that. $500 is a great deal for better sleep and no snoring for years to come.
It makes me mad I pay them to negotiate the price up. Fun game I like to play. How much more do I need to pay because I have insurance. It's around $200 for a cpap machine. Edit you can play too-go into a store (or call), ask what is the price of an item. ask if that is with insurance or not. now as what is the price without insurance.

what kind of insurance do you have? I've been in med equipment sales a long time and never heard of them doing that. Did you physician's office submit a claim for authorization? Something is off as most insurance companies cover these 100% and often without a deductible involved.
UMR, they told me I was eligible for a new machine once but i was max out of pocket and they changed their mind. I was super happy when I left my last employeer to be rid of them, my new employeer also uses UMR so sad.

I like it when UMR refuses paying for things my doctor ordered "because I don't need it". I asked if they examined me, they answer no. then I ask how do they know I don't need it. they answer it is not normal. I then ask if they should maybe go by what the doc said because she did examine me.

a new game they are playing is he doesn't need the medicine he gets every month. that one is fun because I get to go to the pharmacy 2 times instead of one. and I get the added bonuses of wondering will I run out before the renewal which raised my blood pressure...

You can check with insurance to pay out of pocket/cash and submit reimbursement.

For those unaware, you can use other brands of CPAP mask with this machine. I prefer Philips Dreamwear masks, as I found the Resmed ones all leaked or fit weird. The app for the machine even has an option for "Other brand" on the mask type.

Also, this is an Autoset CPAP/APAP, so no need to get your doc to program it like yee days of old unless you have specific needs.

My son had the 11 that leaked air and was not repairable. The rep told me that it was a common issue with the new model. They sent the 10 and we've had no problems with it.
