the way to change pressure setting without going thru the doc:
you mustenter the Clinical Menu by pressing and holding the "My Options" and "My Sleep View" buttons for 3 seconds until the screen turns white, then go to Settings to adjust the Mode (CPAP or AutoSet) and the Set Pressure/Pressure Range

And then you can also find out your optimal pressure settings by putting a sd card into the device, record data for a week, upload the data to sleephq, have it generate a report, then send the report to chatgpt or gemini and ask it to recommend cpap pressure range.

just exit out of the pop up, the unlock deal button is still gonna be on the home page even if you choose to ignore their pop up asking you for info

and then when i tried the code HOLIDAY without clicking the unlock deal button, my price is $639 sometimes, and 499 other times, it's weird

So I think clicking on the "unlock deal" button is my preferred way to get the discount

Using my insurance would have cost $1400 spread out over 12 months to make it hard to meet a deductible.

Now but I have my new one cuz I paid like $400 for it ( Black Friday deal with a match- 10%) I'm going to watch some YouTube videos and try to refurbish my old one pending the cost to do it now with the new tariffs.

The variant before this one was substantially more comfortable

How to get the right size mask without a doctor ? What mask for a weird stomach sleeper who sleep against the wall? best place to purchase the mask ?
you gotta either buy the initial mask set that comes with different size cushions, or buy the set that comes with one cushion, try it, and then buy another cushion if the first one doesnt fit well

For stomach sleepers, the unicorn style of masks is better than the elephant style, unicorn means the hose is on the top of your head, elephant is when the hose is in front of your nose.
for unicorn style, there's F30i if you are a mouth breather, for nose breather it would be N30i and P30i

I have been using this for 5 years coming from an Airsense 10 before that. It's a great CPAP machine. Insurance pays for it all.

Who's your insurance if you don't mind me asking, because with UMR I have to pay more than the asking price $1400 is the insurance price, last I checked and insurance makes me pay for it for 12 months, trying to avoid me meeting my deductible. If I paid the same company using cash it is 1200.

Also my Mask and gear 218 with insurance and 155 without insurance.

Okay so you should be able to find a sizing chart but be careful when you print it because you want to make sure that your printer does not resize the chart it'll be a PDF that is around the size. If you live in a bigger Town find someone that sells them and ask them to size you.

What's a good mask and best place to buy? I got the nose-only one for my 10 and stopped using it because I would wake up several times a night as air leaked out of my mouth. Does a full mask continue to work when you open your mouth?
I would try a chin strap to keep your mouth closed before trying a full face mask. I think people's inability to adjust to full face masks is one of the biggest reasons for low compliance.

Thank you. I'll look for videos. My issue is not leaking around the nose, but my mouth opening and the air blowing out of my mouth and waking me up. Would a full face mask help or is the mouth opening an issue with a full mask too? I just found from searching that there are chin straps and mouth tape that may help.
I have the f30i as a full face for when I am sick. That might be a solution for you. Or the F40 you might like.

I think most online places are fine. I use cpap.com. The get the right mask you can do a bit of research and measuring. But honestly every face is different and what someone elses favorite mask is might suck for you. For example I love the p10 in theory but it leaks out my nose and ruins my sleep. The n30i for me works really well even if not as comfortable as the p10.

It's too bad you need an Rx for this. I have ancient Philips Respironics machine that I wouldn't mind updating. I just can't be bothered with trying to get the Rx from my doc. It's been a while and he'd probably make me do a sleep study, which I REALLY can't be bothered with!

You may be able to pay that company that starts with an L in this thread 40 bucks for a RX plus if they do the price match you get an extra 10% off anyway

Do you have an HSA? I feel like HSA +high deductible is the only way to come out ahead with insurance.
I have one and max it out, but I'd gladly trade it all for universal healthare.

My insurance will only cover if i rent, additionally I my ENT wouldnt write a prescription, they ordered mine for me. Its dumb. I've paid way more in rental fees than what it would cost to just simply buy this out right.
I wish I could just buy one of these but it requires a prescription. I did try and they never shipped the order and eventually canceled it back.
