the way to change pressure setting without going thru the doc:
you mustenter the Clinical Menu by pressing and holding the "My Options" and "My Sleep View" buttons for 3 seconds until the screen turns white, then go to Settings to adjust the Mode (CPAP or AutoSet) and the Set Pressure/Pressure Range

And then you can also find out your optimal pressure settings by putting a sd card into the device, record data for a week, upload the data to sleephq, have it generate a report, then send the report to chatgpt or gemini and ask it to recommend cpap pressure range.

just exit out of the pop up, the unlock deal button is still gonna be on the home page even if you choose to ignore their pop up asking you for info

and then when i tried the code HOLIDAY without clicking the unlock deal button, my price is $639 sometimes, and 499 other times, it's weird

So I think clicking on the "unlock deal" button is my preferred way to get the discount

Using my insurance would have cost $1400 spread out over 12 months to make it hard to meet a deductible.

what kind of insurance do you have? I've been in med equipment sales a long time and never heard of them doing that. Did you physician's office submit a claim for authorization? Something is off as most insurance companies cover these 100% and often without a deductible involved.
Good to know.I'll have to do some calling b/c my deductible is 3k and BCBS would not cover it. Mine was replaced with the Philips recall free of charge on this go around. I want a travel one.

if you don't mind paying $35, cpap.com can renew your prescription https://www.cpap.com/products/rx-renewal-service
Renew? I thought these prescriptions were good for virtually ever? I guess not? I'm looking for mine now and can't find it. Do they give new prescriptions?

the trick with the airsense 11 water tank is to tilt the tank when inserting it, the side facing the machine is lower, while the side away from the machine is higher, and then when you insert it, it will lock snugly in place and will not leak
Which way do you tilt it when inserting to avoid the issue?

The only advantage to using our insurance for our son is it also covers the myriad of bibs bobs and consumables.
Between that and a monthly subscription to socks at Amazon, I don't think we could keep up!

I understand, but I assume you know your 10 will eventually go tennis up. I think it's like 5000 hours but I could be totally wrong.
Luckily the motor is easy to replace

I appreciate the suggestion but I've tried a bunch of masks. My mouth drops when I sleep so I need a FFM. I've tried the f20 with the foam instead of silicone and that created leaks at the bridge of my nose. I also have liners for my F&P because the oils from my face cause leaks after a few hours.

I may try a Philips to see but have bought over 1k in masks.
Mouth tape might help with the mouth drop. It might be worth trying for you.

I wish I could get a killer deal on the Airsense 10. The 11 is good, but I'd rather take a 10. Mainly for the water chamber.
try www.thecpapshop.com . They are located in NJ, use the code RESMED20. I got mine for $500 last year when I couldn't take another day of my possessed airsense 10. Since I live 45 minutes away, I get a choice of delivery or pickup myself. They do require a prescription, which wasn't a problem for me.

I ordered without anything. The order went through.

Isn't the Philips faulty and has a recall on it? Philips send me a new one still in the box. Is the second one still good?

I heard that the fabric hose get lose and go into your lungs and can be fetal so I stop using it. Also, have a new one in a box that I do not know what to do with it.
They let it go through, but Email and ask for an RX without shipping it. I ordered for my husband… just getting his RX from doc. If you need a sleep study they do them at home a lot these days you pick it up and drop it back of the next day…go for a follow up reading to go over result if that helps anyone.

Yep tried that. The only thing that worked was KT-tape but after 2-3 days it ends up ripping my skin and rashes it.

You can apply firmware to unlock all of the more expensive machines such as BiPap or ASV.I'm glad I did this because it would have sucked spending money on another sleep study and 2k for the ASV machine only to find out that I couldn't tolerate it.I have been on the Airsense 10 for over a year and still feel like crap. I just can't get my pressure numbers dialed in. If I go lower something in my throat wakes me up. If I keep it higher I get CA events (stop breathing)
Your sleep study should have flushed that out. You need to have a specialist get to the bottom of this. Bad sleep leads to bad health

The entire system is broken. I had a sleep study done in 2017. Home test showed nothing. In-lab I had to take two Ambiens to get me to sleep for 4 hours and had an AHI of 10.

Two years ago I had a two night sleep study, AHI showed 3 at most. I then took a sleep study from Lofta with their watchPAT which showed AHI of 18.

My local sleep center put me on APAP with the 5-15 default setting. Regardless of what OSCAR was telling me they said everything was "normal" even though I could see a huge amount of leaks. I switched to a FFM and my pressure is at 11.6 CPAP but I am still getting all CAs. If I lower my pressure when I drift off to sleep I end waking up from a click in my throat (OSCAR doesn't show anything).

I have to do this on my own with the help of Reddit because at least in my area the entire sleep system is broken.

This is the one my Dr upgraded me to and it's fine except for the water reservoir. It holds half the water the Resmed 9 did. Also when you fill up the container, it doesn't sit level on the nightstand, so half the time it's spilling water all over the place and the container isn't even up to the fill line yet.

Why say that without saying why?
The 10 uses the bigger and more durable blower while the 11 uses the smaller blower taken from the travel mini. It starts off ok but will get louder over time. Going with brand new on both units, the 10 tends to have less issues over the 11 during its lifetime.
