A "Woot off" is where they feature 1 item at a time at a pretty steep discount (usually). As soon as that 1 item sells out (sometimes within 30 seconds, other times in 1-2 minutes) they switch in a new item.
You really have just a couple seconds to see the item and decide if you want to buy it, because it will sell out (and fast). They had things like Dehydrators for $12 (which might normally run $30-50), home decor for $15 that might run for $40, etc..
It's nice in that there are lots of good deals, but it's also time consuming (watching the app and constantly seeing what's being added), and you don't have any time to actually research it, because it will sell out. You're basically seeing a picture + rating for the item and saying "Yes, I'll buy that for $4!" and hoping for the best
Some deals are awesome, some are mid, some are just weird
Be careful with this BS. Check the price on the Amazon website. You'll often find that contrary to their claim, it's not much cheaper on Woot. For instance, this $50 tool[woot.com] is $60 on Amazon, nowhere near the $120 they claim.

BoC has gotten crappier over time, but I did get 2 bamboo cutting boards for $4 earlier. I heard they dull knives but price overcomes all obstacles.
They have nice things occasionally, Off or not. Earlier this month I got a very sturdy push shopping cart for $16 (as good as ones sold $50 locally), two 25ft indoor extension cord $6, two 3ft 3 outlet 3-prong extension cord $1, ultrasonic glasses/jewelry cleaner $10 (my post got removed due to banned brand), $18 Fire HD 10 tablet, etc etc, Big case of Swiffer wet mop refill 6x24ct $15 (take that, Costco), 20oz Gold Bond lotion $5, ...

Was tempted to grab a BoC for $9.99 but didn't. Last 3 I got where stuff and didn't have a use for. Closest thing that was useful was an oven tray for roasting a turkey.
Did end up buying one of the things that came up, so thanks OP.
