These DO have the Locking Pins.

Although the photoshop product pictures don't show the pins, the customer supplied pics show the actual product (and some beefy locking pins).

Why not just buy the actual Torin ones for $1 more?

They should be ok for light duty work. But I prefer ones that have a locking pin, extra safety,

These are likely fine, personally I'd only buy up to 3 tons as the bigger these are the harder they are to use for a sedan.
If you have a truck or big SUV these would be better for that.

Yes, but the pins in the product description pics would only hold the bar in place at the lowest (storage) position.

It's just sloppy photoshopping, showing holes and 'features' that don't exist in the actual product.

Just like the terrible adcopy: The described "single" is two jackstands, and the "2-pack" is actually FOUR Jackstands.

What is the weak spot when they do give? The base or the ratchet bar?

Probably the base, but not sure what you would be doing that they would give out. Assuming you're on level hard ground.

No their pin is to keep the parts from falling out when moving.
A safety pin locks in the teeth to add an extra hold to keep it from falling when being used.

The thing that bugs me is these come with a pin and all they had to do is add a extra slot to accept it as a extra safety hold. So could be much better IMO for just a little extra machining.

That is the older one. The pictures showing that are from 2024. The pictures from 2025 show it as its listed without a safety holding pin, only a moving/shipping holding pin.
