the 30% off I see on Amazon for *anyone* ? (looking at the TT Premium download version)
EDIT: correction.. Deluxe 30% off, Premier 28% off. So even tho I finally(?) got a discount offer from Fidelity, they're just telling me they love me the same as Amazon loves everyone
EDIT2: looking at CCC, lowest price for the 2024 version was late Jan/early Feb.. is that typical?
It seems to be only the online version.
It was $69.30 for premier. I usually use deluxe.
Didn't seem like much of a deal but I don't usually buy premier, I get deluxe for <$40 on sale.
There's a lot of hoops to jump through to get to see the price, I hate that. Especially with Intuit involved.
Also on the TT screens, there's a Fidelity logo. Why?? I skeptical enough to think that if I take advantage of the offer, Fidelity gets my data. Yuck.
I've been using TT for 20 years. Maybe this is the year I stop using TT. 🤔
The banner on the Fidelity site says save 30%, when you click on the link, it then says "Start Saving 25%" and you know if your state has an income tax that will be extra.
That 30% off online filing is a joke. You can get this coupon anywere on the web.
Furthermore, looks like this is for Online version only. Here is the offer details from Turbotax page:
Limited time offer for TurboTax 2025
Discount applies to TurboTax federal products only (no state products). Savings in addition to early-season discount. Offer cannot be combined with any other TurboTax offers.
Actual prices are determined at the time of print or e-file and are subject to change without notice.
Terms, conditions, features, availability, pricing, fees, service and support options subject to change without notice.
All of my money in Fidelity is in tax deferred accounts (401K, HSA). Therefore I am not expecting free TurboTax as per their usual, despite having a balance that most likely qualifies me for Fidelity Wealth Services.
Me too, I'm a managed client with over 100K (in IRA) and I see only 30%, which is not a good deal, but obviously not down grading the deal as, for the people who do get it for free, it is a good deal.
Seems like download will not be an option this year like it has been before?
Unless it's working differently for the free offer than it is for 25% off (which I doubt), the download is still available, you just need to find it in the menu. Same as last year, same as previous years.

Helpful important info and will look for it. Hoping it's still true this year, thanks.

For example, since I only have the 25% off, the deluxe download with state is $52.50, so $32.50 after the Amex offer.
