LOVING this monitor. Using it for productivity, software development, not gaming.

Ok.. I also pulled up some 21:9 wide screen format 4K videos of halo gameplay footage and it also looked amazing, so FPS games are also super immersive and really compelling. I think the curve actually helps for these kinds of games.
I got used to the curve very quickly, and I don't really notice it now. I sit at a desk about 2 feet from the monitor. If I were sitting back 5+ feet to watch a movie, I think the curve might not be ideal, but seated normally, it no longer bothers me.
I think in a perfect world the curve would be a bit less, but unless you're willing to wait for the adjustable curve version to come out, this is the only good 5k2k I'm aware of.
Apart from the curve the size is excellent. Unless you're a Trader and actually use more screen real estate than this resolution provides, it's hard to imagine a better setup. The PPI seems good to me - I can read things without scaling (though I did bump my Windows text size by 10% to make some sites like Reddit more eyeball friendly.
No more overlapping windows or side scrolling wide spreadsheets for me. I expect to be very happy with this monitor for 5+ years, and don't expect to be tempted to upgrade until there's a much better technology available.
One plus for the extreme curve is that the monitor takes up a bit less horizontal space...so, that may be good?
One big downside is the LG uses a power brick and the cord that goes from the brick to the monitor is way too short. Expect to have trouble if you want to route it through a spring arm or something similar. I've looked, but have not found an extension cord so far.
Last thing: I do think that if Dell gets this panel and produces their own version, it will likely be a superior iteration, but I have no idea if there are any plans for that to happen.
Coming from an Alienware AW3821DW for reference. I liked that monitor a lot. A bit sad I can't think of a new use for it.
