This is the cheapest I found and is very little over spot at the listed price.

With Costco 2% Executive Membership Rebate and Citibank Costco 2% Cashback, this makes it below spot!

I like to know too.

Will have to hold till spot price becomes 110% before selling I guess, just to break even.
You also have to pay capital gains tax (28% because gold is considered a collectible) to Uncle Sam and applicable State and Local tax on any profit.

You can sell to private party for spot. Plenty of people willing to buy. Bars are less desirable than coins...FYI.

You should at minimum get 95% at a GOOD coin shop.

Also reddit PMFORSALE , I haven't used it but many people do.

Invest in a Gold ETF who knows what they're doing. Bitcoin would make a lovely gift. It's on sale right now.

Uh, that defeats the purpose of owning gold. Bitcoin is simillar to owning an ETF...one day it can go poof!

Where can I sell, cuz when I tried to sell the guy told me will pay 90% ?
Was his name Rick and did he have to ask his expert to check them out first? Chumlee would have given a better deal.

And how many of these bricks do I need to order to build a house?

Wonder where the naysayers are now criticizing us for buying them ~$1800oz 🤣🤣.
It's been growing exponentially within the last 3 years. At this rate, it will go up to $10,000/oz in 2 years. And maybe $100,000/oz in 2030. Then we might as well buy a loaf of bread with bits of gold instead. Imagine bringing a precision scale everywhere you go and scrape out little bits of gold out of your gold bar to buy a loaf of bread.

Inflation has been high for the last 5 years. During that time VOO is up 85% while gold is up 135%.

Gold is up big this morning so Costco took down all their gold listings and will relist at higher prices. This WAS a slick deal if I do say so myself.

Never bought gold before. New to this and stupid. Where's the best place to buy gold coins? What is considered a good/fair price?

Eventually, even the market will be ruined.

I have a few of these when it was around $1900-$2000 an ounce. Only reason I buy them is easy way to meet spend on credit cards for offers etc. At the time.

Selling is easy, either sell to a private buyer (showing them it's from costco via receipt expels most doubts of being real) at spot price.

Or sell to a precious metals dealer locally at 3-5% below spot.
