I bought a few unknown or lesser Chinese brand USB cable before and non of them last long. So how are people experience with this brand? From reading reviews, quite a few bad reviews related to cable not last that long.

What are you talking about. Lightning came out when the rest of the world was using microUSB. Lightning was a smaller, more durable connector with dual-orientation plugability. To me that was a huge innovation and improvement over microUSB.

If that usb-c to lightning adapter works, this cable is almost worth price in itself. Those adapters can be really pricey.
