You a missing a significant thing. Not that many people play AAA games. Majority plays MMORPGs, Roblox, Minecraft, non AAA games where 16Gb RAM and 8Gb VRAM is plenty.
That's true, but then they don't need a lower mid-range system like this. They can go with either RTX 5050 or Arc B580 if they want to stick with 1080p and save some money. Though I don't think many of those desktops are on sale... Alternatively, consoles are on a good discount or used hardware like 3070/4060 builds.

It's good enough for QHD too. Saving more may or may not get you in trouble. 5060 8Gb and 16Gb RAM is kind of no brainer for QHD non AAA games.
PS 4060 and 3070 would do the trick too if available for less than $800.

Non AAA is a wide category, that can include indies that run on 1060s and AAs that nearly match the demands of AAA games. In the end it depends on what you want to play. Also 5050 and B580 are fine for 1440p but don't expect to turn details up or get high fps. Probably a 60 medium card now, so it will come down to 1080p in the future.

I already mentioned the other two ones but those are not 50-seriee so they don't come with new systems i.e. people with older hardware should keep their stuff and not upgrade to this. GPUs are not worth upgrading to same tier like we could in the good ol days.
