I'm curious people opinions, I have a 3 year old 14 std, that more or less works pretty well, but the battery needs replacing and the screen cracked and I had a cheap screen put on, and that has now cracked and I feel like I'd either need to get a real oem screen and new battery, or purchase (some form of) new phone model, or just hire the bullet and upgrade through a carrier upgrade and get brand new 17's. I don't REALLY want to lock up a new plan commitment for 2/3 years right now, but not sure what makes sense the most as I need something working well right away. What would you do? The rest of my family on my plan doesn't really need a new phone right now so fixing or replacing mine is the main immediate need

I would never buy a 128 mb phone, but thats just me. between apps, music, and photos, just not enough.

I grabbed the 14 pro 256 for $409 plus tax last month, ebay. Don't see much difference between 14 pro and 15 pro. Same size, same camera. Dont need/care about Apple AI and the 1 chip higher.
it was an Excellent refurb with 1 year warranty and came with 88% battery health. Happy I upgraded and won't pay retail prices.

I don't understand comment above about paying $500 for a used phone is insane. ??? I believe the original retail price for this was over $1100, so how is less than 1/2 insane? in this condition.
I personally think its insane & foolish that people pay monthly fees or buy phones for over a grand. AND every few years!? What a waste. I don't need to keep up with the joneses. also think paying 100 for cell phone bill monthly is foolish, I've been on a $30 dollar a month unlimited talk text and data plan for about 10 years and never had any issues at all. People out here just throwing away money. You can get a 2 week Caribbean vacation for 2-3000 grand, all in.

The battery health was my main concern looking at these refurbs that are more than one generation old. I ended up getting a refurb 16 pro 256gb for $670 in very good condition. Phone came in perfect condition with 0 cycles on the battery.
