The prices for Britbox are comical. Much of their content is old, even ancient. Unless you have never watched any British shows, it's way overpriced. And for the newer content, are they now implementing a Premier level? Give me a break if that's the case.

Just use the money to pay for a decent VPN and watch not only many of the same shows, but also more recent and current British content for free with ITVX and BBC iPlayer.

Or wait until Amazon offers $2.99 per month for 2 months, and it will give you enough time to watch nearly everything that's worthwhile on Britbox until the same promo pops up again months later.

I have Amazon Prime and they sometimes offer Britbox, Acorn, etc. subscriptions for $2.99/month for 2 months or even .99/month. I usually download and watch my shows then (no commercials). It's worth maybe $60/year but doesn't have enough new content to justify more than that.

It looks like you have to set up a new account to get the deal - like before you can even purchase the plan. We used to be able to buy a discounted "gift" subscription around Christmas and just add it to our account but now the gift subscription is regular price.
Might be worth it for you to start a new account if your sub ends in 7 days.

It's well worth it.
Brit crime dramas are top-tier. We get it just to watch Shetland, Blue Lights, Spooks, The Tower… but there's so many good ones.
Really upset that they're pulling this premier crap and rest of us have to wait. I hope no one subscribes and they stop doing that.

one way to access british content for free is to use vpn and create accounts on bbc and itv. will have some ads, but it is free.

Worth noting, at least for me, if you watch via browser britbox.com streams 720p, Amazon does 1080p. Via app both are 1080p.
