A 10/100 Ethernet adapter is useless for a lot of people as their Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than this.

HD, 720p/1080p - 10–20 Mbps
4K Ultra HD - Netflix requires a minimum of 25 Mbps, realistically 35-50 is safer.
For many 100 is fast enough and should be more stable that WiFi.
I prefer Roku for performance and features but rogue also has been cutting corners and quality has gone down, but still more stable.

For example, stream a Blu-ray remux of Misery (1990) and you're looking at needing 105 Mbps minimum.
With overhead, a 10/100 adapter is going to give you a horrible experience.

The hardware on the firesticks doesn't slow down. It's the Amazon software/data collection/bloatware that makes the user perceive that the device is slowing down. Every "update" you install on your fire TV stick will make it slightly slower. I wish companies would stop forcing these unneeded ads, data collection and other random garbage at us.
