Haven't tested myself but these also work on the ONN TV boxes with the same micro-usb port.

Perfectly adequate. You won't be streaming anything more than 100mb/s anyways.

They will if they ever run Kodi or a Plex server.

A 10/100 Ethernet adapter is useless for a lot of people as their Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than this.

Doesn't really matter that the WiFi might be faster, if the 100 speed is fast enough for the stream.

And that's what I'm trying to impart. If you are streaming a Blu-ray remux, the 100 speed is nowhere near fast enough.

Standard Definition - requires 3–5 Mbps
HD, 720p/1080p - 10–20 Mbps
4K Ultra HD - Netflix requires a minimum of 25 Mbps, realistically 35-50 is safer.

For many 100 is fast enough and should be more stable that WiFi.

Fire sticks slow down over time, they are OK if you have older HD TV but dont expect much on 4k tvs, just can't perform well it bogs down from all the crap Amazon probably preload, you just have to reset it after some time.
I prefer Roku for performance and features but rogue also has been cutting corners and quality has gone down, but still more stable.

I'm not disputing your figures, but you said 10/100 is fast enough for everything. It's not.

For example, stream a Blu-ray remux of Misery (1990) and you're looking at needing 105 Mbps minimum.

With overhead, a 10/100 adapter is going to give you a horrible experience.

The hardware on the firesticks doesn't slow down. It's the Amazon software/data collection/bloatware that makes the user perceive that the device is slowing down. Every "update" you install on your fire TV stick will make it slightly slower. I wish companies would stop forcing these unneeded ads, data collection and other random garbage at us.

Yep that's why I said you have to reset it. I wish there were other good players like shield one or maybe like apple TV without depending on apple.

It's a crime to sell 10/100 devices in 2026.

I don't see why it wouldn't as long as it's micro USB

It's because the stick uses USB 2.0
Speed of USB 2.0 is 480Mbps. limit is the adapter, not USB 2.0. If you had a better adapter, the limit would be 480Mbps not 100Mbps under USB 2,0. Because of this, I am going to try my GBit dongle and see if that is better. It seems if the chipset is the same as the Amazon one, it should also work (usually realtek)

This is ridiculous. At some point, just a box that isn't dangling from the hdmi port
