I keep running into last minute deals at various stores -- several of which are local chains and thought it would be helpful if we could share information in one spot for these.

In the past few days, I found some discounts that are worth mentioning.

Seekonk, MA

Tractor Supply has been dramatically cutting prices on plants. Today I got $20 Pointsettia for .50 and a gorgeous blooming Christmas cactus for $2, a smaller on (6 oz) for $1.

Pricerite had great deals on Ferrero Rocher chocolates, the 5.8 oz boxes were 2.99, large boxes 7.99 and the smaller bags of squares 2.49.

Ollies had decent deals on children's books in the $3-$4 range. Xmas items were 25% off today but promise to be much cheaper going forward.

After Xmas deals at Shaws, Stop n Shop, included 50% off Xmas candy. Ocean State Job Lots had 50% off wrapping and gift bags/Xmas cards. Wags had ½ off Xmas candy but it was so expensive to begin with that I only bought a single bar of Ghirardelli peppermint bark and decided to keep looking. Dollar Tree usually has ½ off Xmas items but given their new "guess what it costs" policy, I stayed away. They usually have candy, some toys, Xmas wrap, bags, and towels/potholders, etc. half off.

Target in North Attleboro had candy at 50% off. CVS had 30% candy discounts. Plenty of stock since most people had little interest in 19 dollar bags of candy with such a small discount. Michaels had 60% discounts on Christmas decor, but given their inflated prices, they had plenty of stock left. I was sad to see so little of the baking supplies reduced -- just some lonely Xmas cookie cutters. Their 36 count paper cupcake liners were 5.99. That's amazing, given you can pick up 100 at Market basket for .99. I marveled at the inflated prices. They must count on people living on 30% off coupons and their rewards program. I am often amazed that they manage to stay in business. I hope they can hold on given the demise of places like JoAnn Fabrics and other stores that sell craft items.

Target was 70% off everything and won't be going to 90%.
Ocean State Job Lots remains at 50% off Xmas clearance.
Michaels still 60% off.

Some of the Targets have gone to 70/90.
Shaws had Holiday merchandise (including Hannukah candles, extension cords, and Xmas cards along with various holiday themed treats) at 50% off.
Ocean State Job Lots had 20% off food in their new ad, so not a bad time to stock up on shelf stable stuff like canned food, dry beans, flour, etc. They also have this odd desire to get coins, so if you give them at least 10 bucks in rolled coins they'll give you 140% back in GC. So hand in a roll of quarters and get a $14 GC. Good to know if you plan to buy food. It's not clear if the GC works right away.

If you see the peelies on Carr's crackers for $1 off (exp 1/17) Market basket has them 2/$6, so you can get them for $2 each. Shaws and Stop n Shop have them for 3.99 a box.

In addition to the free bagel at Stop n Shop, you can get a free donut at Shaws (add to card by Sunday and pick up by the end of Monday).

Also, don't forget this weekend's 20% off sale on food at Ocean State Job Lots where the Xmas clearance remains at 50% off so there's still lots in stock. Through 1/14.

All Xmas gone at Target. But, in addition to miscellaneous clearance throughout the store, they had a reasonable deal on Campbell's Chunky soup 3/$5, cheaper than most places.

Check your snail mail. I got a large postcard for 15% my entire purchase at Ollie's Good Stuff Cheap. Good through 2/16. Apparently it's also accessible via email, app, and on the website.

Good through tomorrow, 2/18. Ocean State Job Lots will give you a GC good for future purchases wys $30 minimum. The GC is equal to 40% of your purchase, so spend $30 get a $12 GC, spend $50, get $20 GC. Good throughout the store on Food and everything else.

At Ollies in Seekonk, Grey Poupon mustard, 2 x 16 oz jars in a cardboard package for 3.99. One of these jars sells for 6.49 at Shaws, and despite the short BB date, these jars of mustard are good for years past their BB dates, so if you use this regularly, this is an amazing deal.

It was really hard to find salt and snowshovels yesterday. Ocean State Job Lots had some at fairly reasonable prices. I managed to find some expensive salt for the sidewalks at Shaws of all places after trying several hardware stores. Good luck and stay safe to all of you in the New England area. Let's hope that the predictions for this blizzard turn out to be exaggerated.

At Shaws, Finish Quantum Powerball Dishwasher tabs 14 count are on sale (dq) for 2.99 with a stacking $1/1 dq making them 1.99 before tax. Hardly the deal of the century, but if you are in need of cheap dishwasher tabs to tide you over, this is reasonable. It also works on the Finish Ultimate Dishwasher detergent tabs 11 count, but clearly, the 14 count is a better deal. The offer expires on March 4.

All Free & Clear detergent 30 oz is also on sale via DQ for $3.99, and there's an iBotta rebate for $1.50 on that size. Since this is a sale price, and not a mq, it should qualify for the rebate, resulting in a price before tax of 2.49.

Ollies (Seekonk) still had lots of the cheap Grey Poupon mustard (2 x 16 oz for 3.99) in stock yesterday.

Free Violife Creamer (non dairy) 33.8 oz as the Saturday Sampler at Shaws/Star Market. Clip the dq in J4U by Sunday night and pick up in store by Monday.
