This is about as much as what this phone is really worth it. It is a decent basic phone, somewhat limited by the 4GB RAM.
On the good side - dual-SIM/eSIM plus MicroSD Card support are neat features.
Motorola runs a somewhat cleaner version of Android (compared to Samsung's bloatware) but also offers only a few years of support.

Have it and like it, but security updates end Jan 2027, which is basically only a year at this point. I paid $50 with activation, but have seen it as low as $35 with AT&T activation.

It's a good phone if your primary use is consuming media. Stereo speakers are loud. Has a headphone jack & micro SD card slot. Screen isn't as nice as more expensive phones, but is big and bright enough. The only things I feel it falls short on vs my previous more expensive phones is camera quality, water resistance, and no HDMI over USB-C.

EDIT: also no 5G, but I'm not sure how much difference that makes in real world use.

Is it dual SIM? Tracfone moto g PLAY 2024 is only single physical SIM.

Not having 5G does it matter? Not going to be streaming video.

Thinking of using this as a 2nd phone when I am oversea. I like the dual SIM card.

Calling it somewhat clean is like calling my house somewhat organized. 🤣

Why buy a used phone with no warranty? BestBuy still has the Moto G phones on sale, new, unlocked, for $50 off when purchased online at the same time as a Visible SIM for $26. The Moto G Play 2024 64GB is ($99 - $50 + $26) = $76.

Are security updates that importatnt? I am still using my android 8 limited SD 845 LGV35, because I like the quad dac built in. Would the Moto G Play run faster or slower with the less ram and slower processor, because its on a newer version of android?

So the price is about the right value, wouldn't consider it a great deal…

Who would want this in late 2025, except for a media consumption device (although 4 GB RAM might not cut it), or a cheap temporary phone for travel given the situation today?

I bought one of these refurbs a few months back and when I turned it on it showed the ATT logo screen and was not unlocked. I returned the device.

People that want a functional phone for a low price. 4GB of RAM is well enough for a media consumption device. How would Netflix or Youtube come close to being limited by that? Next people are going to be saying that they need 16GB of RAM just to open notepad.
