I purchased a like new Levoit air purifier from Amazon Resale when they ran a promotion a few months ago, the unit came like new, but the filter was dirtier than my vacuum HEPA filter and showed 0% life left. Amazon Resale doesn't check returns before shipping them out again, thus allowing scammers to get away with getting free filters and honest buyers with bad experiences. I would never buy another item with disposable parts from Amazon Resale again.

Perhaps the price is dependent on the location. I bought 4 of this few days back in west Chicago suburbs for $49. And it still shows me $49.
