It's a good price on a pretty bad card. Sits between a 3060 and 3060ti performance wise. Fine for 1080p in most games.
Would be better if it was a smaller version of the card. Something that easily fit into a tiny case.

so what is a good card to get for $175? Or under $200?

It takes a lot of games from almost unplayable at 1080p to very playable. If $175 is all you can swing I would say probably. If you can swing low 200s the B580 at $230 is worth a look. https://www.newegg.com/onix-odyss...6814987001 . B580 also comes with BF6. Could either use the code or probably sell it for 20-30. If you value the code at $30 you are looking at $175 for the 5050 vs $200 B580. I wanted to edit this to reflect I agree with the guy below me somewhat in that the B580 will have more driver issues and games that just play like crap even if it is faster in raster with more vram.

at that price, without question. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4...yzs&t=138s ) Especially if you plan to sell your 3050. I always avoid Intel Arc bc of the inconsistent driver issues.

Why not? I have a B580 in a gaming computer. I've had no problems with the dozens of older and newer games played on it. What have been your issues with a B580?

I still have a 2060 and I think my gaming days are mostly behind me. Just binged on a bunch of review videos, and I figure at this price why not go for it? I could hold out for a deal on a 9060 xt or 5060 ti 16 gb but I really don't think I'd ever use them to their full capability.

Bro. Not everyone needs a powerhouse pc to game. This is a decent price for a light pc gaming build.

it just disconnects a bunch, and crashes. tried everything under the sun. older games and emulators have issues too. maybe need to RMA it but its a headache
